Institution Login: Upon reaching the INTERNSHIP section, colleges are required to log in using the provided User ID and Password allocated to their institution.

Updating Institute Profile: Upon logging in, navigate to the “INSTITUTE” tab and proceed to update the institute profile within the designated “INSTITUTE PROFILE” section. Precision is of paramount value when inputting the allocated seat count for the college following the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) directive.

Reviewing Internship Schedule: Within the INSTITUTE tab, navigate to the INTERNSHIP SCHEDULE to review the internship schedule. Note the round of the college and pertinent information available in the internship tab.

Candidate Registration: Within the CANDIDATE section, educational institutions can initiate fresh registrations for incoming first-year students and modify or eliminate information about trainees registered earlier. It is imperative to input and secure the status of Children with Special Needs (CWSN) for all registered trainees in the designated CWSN IDENTIFICATION segment.

School Selection for Internship: In the CANDIDATE tab, specifically under SCHOOL SELECTION FOR FIRST-YEAR INTERNSHIP, colleges must select the desired schools for internships. It includes private and government schools, with options to specify district, block, and school type for private schools. Trainees should input their preferences for government schools, with a minimum choice limit of 15. It’s essential to meet this requirement within the stipulated period, as failure to do so may result in automatic online submission by the system.

Candidate Details Update: Utilizing the CANDIDATE tab, colleges can update candidate details such as gender and mobile number through the MOBILE UPDATE section.

Internship Requests: Trainees’ internship requests and school choices can be managed through the CANDIDATE tab under INTERNSHIP REQUEST. Colleges can also handle registrations and school choices for ex-candidates in the INTERNSHIP EX-CANDIDATE section.

Accessing Reports: Various reports related to internship candidates, including summary reports, allotment reports, and registration status, can be accessed under the REPORT tab. These reports provide comprehensive insights into the internship process and candidate status.

General Instructions for Shala Darpan Internship

The ShalaDarpan portal will allot government schools for the internship program to M.Ed trainees. The district-level complaint committee will comprise:

  • The Coordinator: District Education Officer (Headquarters), Elementary Education
  • Member: District Education Officer, (Headquarters), Secondary Education
  • Member: Principal, District Institute of Education and Training (DIET)
  • Member Secretary: Additional District Education Officer, Education Cell (Office of District Education, Professional Education Headquarters)

Private universities operating in Rajasthan may opt for internship allotment through the portal.

The Head of the Institution will issue Internship Completion Certificates after the internship program.

Colleges may choose private schools optionally for first-year internships and enter information on Shala Darpan. Second-year internships will be allotted only through Shala Darpan in government schools.

Timing of ShalaDarpan Internship Program Allocation

The ShalaDarpan portal will assign internships in Government Schools for D.El.Ed./B.Ed./B.A.B.Ed./B.Sc.B.Ed./B.Ed.M.Ed trainees in two phases:

Phase I: From November 2023 till completion.

Phase II: From December 2023 till completion.

  • First-year D.El.Ed./B.Ed., B.A.B.Ed./B.Sc.B.Ed., and second-year B.Ed.M.Ed trainees will intern for 4 weeks.
  • Second-year D.El.Ed./B.Ed., B.A.B.Ed./B.Sc.B.Ed., and third-year B.Ed.M.Ed trainees will intern for 16 weeks.

Allotment of Government Schools to Trainees for Internship Program

  • The district will allocate trainees to schools for internships.
  • Available vacancies will determine the maximum trainee numbers.
  • Trainees must register preferences for 15 schools on the ShalaDarpan portal.
  • Allotment will follow a ‘first come first serve’ basis.
  • Trainees must report to allotted schools within 7 days of allocation.
  • Daily attendance will be recorded online.
